Dual sim micro & nano?

Featured Replies

My old phone with my UK micro sim has died and the sim wont fit in the newer nano sim phone. Are there any phones which take both micro and nano? If not have to buy an old one which takes micro.

You can 'shave down' the mico SIM on a piece of sandpaper as long as you do not damage the chip.

Go to any mobile phone shop and ask them to cut down to nano. 20 Baht.

Of course the DIY approach is also possible.

Nano is just a bit bigger than the size of the chip / golden contacts

Deleted go to a shop

Do I understand you have not yet bought a new phone?

If you buy at a shop, cutting will be done without asking of course.

Just bring old phone/SIM with you.

alternatively, get a phone with the new e-sim. Then then just ask you provided for the QR code, problem solved.

And you can have a number of numbers with 1 e-sim. No more swapping chips.

Aside from the limited selection available so far, the poster might have problems getting his UK SIM swapped for e-sim?

Why swap. I don't think you know much about e-sim. There is no need to swap anything. The provider sends him an email with the attached QR code. You scan it and bingo you ready to go.

Wow, now I know why SMS transaction codes have been abolished in many countries.

Sending a highly sensitive QR code via email??

I assume there is a bit of a security mechanism behind?

And yes I know what I say. Does "swapping" say physical?

Just get the micro sim trimmed down to a nano sim, the trimming punch tool is widely available, I have one hanging around somewhere.
