Thailand plans to push for more exports of Thai fruits to China and the Middle East after exporting more than 160 billion baht worth of its fruits in 2021.

“The government has been continuously negotiating with China to make the transportation of Thai products more agile and we are accelerating the efforts to expand the market to Middle Eastern countries,” said deputy government spokeswoman Ratchada Dhanadirek on Monday.

Thailand’s exports of its fruits increased from 91 billion baht in 2020 to 160 billion in 2021 with 100 billion baht being the export of durian alone, she said.

Durian prices already sky high I'm guessing because of exports, mainly to China. Same with chicken.

I wonder if the Chinese would like some Jasmine rice?

Durian fruit is so expensive!

China is definitely a big fan.

China is cultivating its own Durian And in a few years they'll not be needing Thailand's.

A big problem is Thai fruits not passing inspection because of the the massive amounts of pesticides found on and in an their fruits.

There sent back to wherever for Thais to consume.
