That was my initial thought, but in well over a 100 flights nothing has ever disappeared from my baggage (I’m not sure my baggage has ever even been opened By anyone airside). 2 3
aussienam Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 With such low quality staff like this, no wonder I had several things stolen from my luggage a few years back. 'Rival groups'? Wow. Like a gangland in an airport! 2

Did your baggage contain anything worth stealing? They don't open baggage at random, these days it's all high tech X-ray first. 1

Sort of like reading some of the 'school shootings' in the USA, that didn't involve students or on school grounds. Just gang bangers or a mugging gone bad, nearby a school. I was expecting 2 baggage handlers fighting over an iPhone they pinched from someone's luggage, hopefully on the tarmac, planeside to add to the drama ???? How disappointing .... next 4 1

ronster Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Wonder if he was possibly one of the honest ones and didn’t like what he seen other staff doing to luggage and was threatening to tell . 1
JeffersLos Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 What the rivalry about, who can pilfer the most suitcases per hour?
Popular Post Will B Good Posted April 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 12, 2022 I guess some people carry a lot of baggage around with them and they just can't handle it. 6

There have been many cases over the years where baggage handler gangs have been involved in drug smuggling by placing stashes in innocent peoples bags before going into the planes hold and then being removed at the other end by another gang of handlers before the bags get to the customs halls (the Shapelle Corby case in Bali is one that comes to mind). Maybe the victim had been threatened to keep his mouth shut or wanted a bigger commission share. 3
