I'm looking for a Pet store with an aviary where I can buy a pet songbird like a common Red-vented Bulbul.

Please don't, as I can't think of too many things crueler than keeping a bird in a cage, unless you plan on a large outside aviary.

I have a 'large' indoor/outdoor aviary.

Good luck ... hopefully raised from already captive birds, and not harvested from the wild.  Is their a bird club of people raising ? That would be cool.

 

I saw people at our local park with a caged Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker, 'harvesting' wild bird coming in to see them out of curiosity, after hearing them.  Was actually surprised how easy it was for them to simply hand catch them once at the cage. They caught 2 in less than 15 minutes.  Hopefully they weren't the parents of a nest waiting to be fed.

 

I reported them to the office and haven't seen them since.
