livenewsNOW is a perfect example.

Its an app and a website.

 

App no longer works on phone or tv box but website streaming works on PC, Android phone but not Android tv box!

 

I've tried other sites with the exact same problem.

 

I don't use a vpn.

 

But wait. There's more.

 

Streaming from websites used to work on my Android tv box.

 

I'm flummuxed. 

 

Any ideas or perhaps a suggestion for a news streaming site that will play on Android tv box?

Don't worry they have all the US news flavors.

 

Perhaps some others can use that website on a browser on their Android tv box and say if it also doesn't stream for them?

Did you try https://ustvgo.tv/? Works fine on my Android box, no VPN, but the channel sometimes needs a refresh.

Assuming it doesn't work on my box, then as it works for you, then it's something on my box.

What browser are you using on your box?

I've tried different browsers but maybe another one would work. 

What do you want to watch? Live, in real-time right?

 

You want it free too, right?

 

 

Most of this stuff is licensed to you'll need to use a VPN if choosing a "real" source.

 

Unlicensed re-streamers can probably be found.

 

USTVGo+VPN works fine, can run it and cast it many different ways, depends what kit you have.

Firefox. It seemed not to like Chrome for some reason, as I recall.

 

I wouldn't mind running a VPN on the box if needed. Some free ones out there; our VPN experts can advise.

Ooops. Sorry this won't work as the VPN-enabled device is on a different 'virtual' network.

 

You'll have to run the VPN on TV, Android box, PC, phone or tablet. And then watch on the TV (running the VPN and a browser), or via the Android box (or Firestick or Chromecast with Google TV, running the VPN, or directly on the tablet or phone also running the VPN. Complicated no doubt, may be why run the VPN on their router.

 

 

Update on this.

Problem solved based on suggestions here!

ustvgo did not stream on Chrome or Opera.

But as suggested I installed Firefox and now streaming.
