The only thin they need to "take-off" are the ridiculous entry rules.

I don't think we will see incoming tourism "taking off" any time soon.  There are still many restrictions.  And a war.  And many people do not have so much money after a long battle with this virus.

....all of which were never managed and configured very well to begin with - and continue to be unnecessarily perplexing.

Most reasonable folks might be logically in agreement as to the complete lifting of the convoluted schemes that persist.

Yet, we're speaking of Thai authoritarian circles - not having a reputation for being reasonable.

Waves and wave and waves. Notice how the authorities never shut up? Always making things up, to hide their devastating failures.

Yeah, I know a few great men. But none in the Prayuth administration. They seem to deliberately pick based on three qualifications.

1. Make sure the candidate is not qualified and has no experience in the area he or she is appointed.

2. Make sure they are truly bottom of the barrel material, and a true empty suit.

3. Make sure they are well connected or owed a favor.

Are there any adults in the room?

If Thailand wants to know what quality tourism looks like, try looking at Vietnam.

"A group of 130 American tourists arrived in HCMC Friday, the largest group of foreign visitors to the city since Vietnam reopened to tourism three weeks ago. The group, comprising mostly entrepreneurs and first-time visitors to the city, was ceremonially welcomed at the Vietnam History Museum in District 1. They will stay in five-star hotels, take boat tours along the Saigon River, visit Ben Thanh Market . . . . The visitors will also tour the Mekong Delta, the world-renowned Ha Long Bay, Hanoi, and Da Nang. Nancy Lesage, one of the tourists, said: "I feel safe and do not worry about Covid-19 when I'm here. Everything is full of life." She plans to recommend Vietnam to her family and friends once she returns home."

Thailand is now has the distinction of being #6 in the world for covid deaths and #8 in the world for covid cases, as of yesterday. Congrats Anutin. As you said, your nation is doing very well.

Has he been hiding out? He has mysteriously gone silent. Very unlike this media spotlight lover.

Gormless Govt. fools stupidly citing local infection rates as non- existent barrier to higher tourist numbers.

When it’s actually this dumb govt. persistence with Thai Pass. SCRAP Covid Emergency & All Restrictions !

Which are utterly useless anyway against Omicron.

Got NOTHING to do with Foreigners that many millions of superstitious irrational low IQ Thais WONT western- vax ????
