The forecasted heavy weather is due to a moderate high-pressure system that covers much of Thailand.

No rain just a few miles south of Hua Hin.  Distant rumbling thunder morning to afternoon.

Little bit further south, and in rained here today, Muang, not much, just that annoying drizzle, enough make you turn on you wipers every so often.

Rain came at 0215 with not too close lightning and thunder like potatoes bouncing and rolling along the floor.  DB (dipping bowl) gauge at 0700 shows about 1/2".
