Buying a Dell computer in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a shop/store in Bangkok which has a wide range of Dell laptop computers and Dell computer monitors/screens in stock?

I want to shop in person, not online.

Thank you in advance.

DELL store on 3rd floor in Fortune Town.

Rama 9 Station on the MRT.

Is this store still open?

I went to Fortune Town late last year and the Dell store was closed; as were several other Dell/Alienware stores losted on the Dell Thailand website, including the store in Central World.

Obviously you want to narrow your options by first researching online, right?

Most/all shops with a physical presence also have one/more online.

I'd look on Facebook.

I mean you can call or DM the shop right? Ask them if they're open?

This shop is open, ok not right now but it will be at 11:00.

There are a limited number of options, maybe 5 or 6 retailers, but with multiple store-fronts. Not all will have every item present in every shop.

A quick search, 30 seconds, points to two BIG resellers:

Itrinity Fortune Town  https://www.facebook.com/ITrinitydell/

Next Play: Seacon Sq. Fashion Island  https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=nextplay shop

After that check the websites/FB pages for the usual suspects to see which ones sell Dell: BananaIT, JIB, Advice, InvadeIT

https://www.invadeit.co.th/brand/dell/

Advice is the largest importer/reseller here, they have affiliated retail shops  https://www.advice.co.th/search?keyword=dell

Yes they were open in Fortune Town a week ago when I last was there.

I do not see their alienware concept stores anywhere anymore, the one in Central World has been closed, I was looking for it a few days ago and was told that it has been closed.

If you are looking for alienware then the authorized retailers are at these linked location Authorized Retailer (Thailand) | Dell Thailand

Many thanks mtls2005 for your helpful detailed reply.

I did call some stores last year - some answered, some did not.  I assumed the stores that did not answer were closed, but when I went to a couple of malls I found that some of these shops, which I had called, were actually open.  Wrong number, too busy to answer the phone???

After doing some online research, I went to a few stores in Hua Hin and asked if they could order Dell laptop A, B or C and Dell monitor X, Y or Z for me - the replies were "cannot", "out of stock", "no have".   In one case, for one store, which puts out a monthly catalogue, I took along their catalogue, and pointed to what I wanted.  "We no have".  Can you order "Cannot".

Nevertheless, I think that you and userabcd have provided me with enough information for a successful expedition to Bangkok to find what I want.   Thank you again.

Why the need to shop in person?

The local Advice shop in Hua Hin can order whatever Dell item you want. And InvadeIt is right there as well.

You can order a laptop in the morning and have it delivered the same day, often at no extra charge. And there is a seven-day return policy.

What is this "catalog"? ????

Global shortages, and people working from home decimated availability of everything from computers to video cameras to desks.
