Jealousy Turns Deadly: Man Shoots Wife, Suspects Affair
Photo: The Thaiger In a shocking incident in the Isaan province of Roi Et, Thailand, 49-year-old Boonlai confessed to fatally shooting his wife, Phitchaya, allegedly driven by jealousy. The tragic event unfolded on December 16, witnessed by their son and Phitchaya's tomboy friend, Maneerat, at the latter's home. Boonlai, suspecting a romantic relationship between Phitchaya and Maneerat, confronted his wife upon learning she stayed overnight at Maneerat's residence following a concert on December 15. Despite her reassurances, he perceived evidence of intimacy in online exchanges between the two women—a suspicion aggravated by their frequent photos and videos together. Failing to persuade Phitchaya to return home with him, Boonlai claims he acted in a fit of rage, shooting her twice in the head at close range. He left the scene with his son in distress and fled to Mukdahan province, where he was later apprehended. Boonlai left the weapon behind and has now been detained by the police. Maneerat, expressing disbelief, refuted any romantic involvement with Phitchaya, stating they were merely friends. She also mentioned that Boonlai never voiced his suspicions or confronted her previously about such beliefs. Phitchaya’s mother expressed relief on Boonlai owning up to his actions yet remains in the dark about her daughter's relationship with Maneerat. As Boonlai awaits his sentence, he appealed through the media for Maneerat to care for his two sons, a request stemming from the responsibilities he can no longer fulfil. This devastating tale highlights the extreme consequences of mistrust and miscommunication within relationships. -- 2024-12-18 -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Just to let you know and was expecting some questions on this so-called tax issue for 2024 on my 90-day reporting today and got my new date for March 2025 and asked one question can I do this as per last year 30 days in advance. Yes I also saw my Thai friend this morning who was asking me about forms and yes his wife who knows someone who works at the Revenue again told not to worry about filing and do not worry as it seems there is no concrete or anything official from this so-called Government and it appears that there is wide opinions on this and many not going to do anything. -

Tourist Found Dead Near Koh Phangan’s Hin Song Kon Store
Western but not loose. I think a lot of the hatred for these party goers is from guys who worked in a factory in Bolton when they were in their 20s/30s/40s and now too old to take part -
