The important statistic to know what's going on in the EV marketplace is % market share, you're not an idiot, you do know this.  Even without comparing this, you only have to open your eyes and see what's on the road.

 

The whole car industry is on its knees with Nissan probably going bust, Honda closing factories and Toyota leading a disinformation campaign.

 

Try looking at market share.  It's to early to look at pickup sales, we need to see what happens when BYD launch the Shark.  BYD has turned into another Toyota in Thailand and the Thai's love them.

 

I do agree with you ... with one exception, " welcome back EOW"!!!

he was a t.... before he had his long break, and he is still the same annoying t..... to spam every ev topic! he should go back under his rock or spend more time with his family ...

With regards to being 6'4"...  thats a lot of vehicles that would cause issues... either EV or ICE.

I'm 183cm (6') and in every car I've driven my seat is as far back as it goes... 

Thus: For a 6'4" person, there may need to be a minor modification to the seat rail to make the seating accomodate your sons height (though that may make the steering wheel too far away).

 

Thus: go for a car which at least has a dual axis adjustable steering wheel too (up down and towards you).

 

Budget is obviously a key option - if willing only to spend 600k, then the type of care you'll get is clearly not going to be a top range EV.

I'm 188cm and most of what I sat in at last year's show seemed a bit cramped.
