Might be country specific ... best to always verify on local dealer site, and when hands on at dealer, for all make & models.

Yah. I'll put it down to an editing issue from the company. FYI, I'm accessing the same site as you, from Thailand with NO VPN.

I suspect this car would require about 140-160KW to achieve sub 7 sec 0-100 and it doesn't have that.

Your assumption Thailand will follow, is I believe, false.   Two completely separate markets with separate circumstances.   What kickstarted the EV revolution here was BYD & GW

Don't know why it's different info, as also on same site, no VPN, in TH, using Chrome.

That page shows 0-100kmhr at 11.5 seconds to me

Obviously with the EX2 specs, you're not going to get < 7 sec

And comes in at about the same as the Neta V below, about the same as the Axion UT also

image.png

Had a Neta next to us, last week or so, and it took off when the light changed. Leave the racing to the MG4 & Seals

Wee bit more hp, shaves a bit of time off .. pretty much, nothing anyone is going to notice.

image.png

Even our MG ZS with 2X hp, is pokin' along at 8.6 secs. Must be the extra 320 kgs we're lugging around.

I don’t get the page with your figures, it’s possible you are getting an old page from your cache.

Getting weirder, if I highlight your url, right click & go to, I get the same info as above.

BUT, if I search google ' geeley ex2 thailand, get the same link, and it opens the 11.5 sec info.

I really liked the Jaecoo J5, especially when it was 599,000, a real bargain but now thats its 649,000 the appeal is wearing off. Now I like and prefer the Geely EX5 Max, especially since its been reduced to 849,000. But does it justify the 200,000 baht difference?

We finally made it to test drive the Zeekr 7X AWD - the overarching conclusion is that the BYD SL7 AWD is an insane value. Superficially, the 7X is in an other league due to its pricing, but the SL7 is so close - and in some ways even better - that the 7X is hard to justify for 50% more money.

Some of the details that surprised me and we are spoiled with the SL7:

  • there is no readout of inside/outside air quality

  • no cornering lights

  • no door jamb rubber seals

  • single pane glass (although double pane is probably overrated, the 7X does seem to have thicker glass)

  • fewer physical buttons for essential functions

  • no NFC unlocking, needs app to be opened? (could be a misunderstanding)

  • driver/passenger seat belts not height adjustable

I am not implying that the SL7 is on par with the 7X - it also falls short in several relevant aspects like air-suspension, ADAS etc., and compared to other peers, ticks all the boxes (e.g. I will not buy a car without HUD anymore, which eliminates the IM6, the Avatr 07, the G6 etc) - but I am not going to buy 2 identical cars. I will wait another 4 weeks to check what models might come to Thailand - if the BYD SL8 does not make it, the 7X is it.

Unrelated side note: wifey was driving around in BKK and I got her doing this! what a champ!

Some info/videos on the Zeekr 7X Golden Brick 75KWH "LFP" battery (made by CATL) which comes in the 7X Standard/Bt1.4M model....for a while it was the fastest charging EV battery available...but I think now a few models have slightly inched ahead in charging speed although few are actually in mass production. The "golden" part of the name probably comes from the individual battery cells being wrapped in gold color high voltage insulation vs the typical blue wrapping insulation....and of course the "high quality/HiSo" connotation that's associated with the golden word. Note: The 7X Long Range RWD/Bt1.6M and AWD/Bt1.8M models come with a different CATL battery....100KWH "NMC" Qilin battery.....another top-notch, fast charging battery in the EV battery world.

The Zeekr 7X definitely have top-notch CATL batteries....probably better/tougher than BYD blade batteries as CATL is the largest EV battery manufacturer in the world and seems to be a step or two ahead of BYD batteries currently on the market. The charging speeds of the 7X batteries generally exceed the charging KWH capability of the great, great majority of chargers in Thailand, but as long as you plug into say a 180KWH or higher charger in Thailand you are not going to be plugged in for long due to the ability of 7X batteries to accept electrons so durn fast!

Zeekr Golden Brick 75KWH Battery video....2 min 29 sec long.

Zeekr 7X Golden Battery Real World Charging Video....35 minutes long...best to scan thru this video...go to the later portions of the video to see the real world charging speed. Examples of charging speed...in the video the EV went from 0 to 70% in only 10 minutes, 10 to 80% in 9 min 40 sec, 0 to 100% in 22 minutes.

We test drove the Jaecoo 5 today.

I was disappointed, it’s a big car for a little price and you can see why.

It’s noisy, massive amounts of tyre noise, the suspension is bouncy and we both thought the interior was cheap.

I do think it’s excellent value for money, and I like the high driving position, but I am not sure I could live with it.

Below 500k the Geely EX2 is the best car.

If you want a big, high, SUV there is nothing to touch the Jaecoo 5, but it’s made to a price.

You have to spend 150k more to get a smaller but better driving car.

If there is another motor show offer on the BYD Dolphin next month, it’s a better driving car but currently poor value for money, even so, I would choose the Dolphin over the Jaecoo 5.

I am considering getting a Geely EX2 as a city runabout.

I only ask because Im stuck between choosing the Jaecoo J5 and the Geely EX5 Max model but that 200,000 baht difference makes me think if its good value for money or whether there are better options to consider. Knowledge is good to have whilst I am waiting on the next motor show, then I will make my final decision

I think a test drive might help you decide, the Jaecoo 5 is stunning value for money and you may be able to live with its faults.

BYD has brought back the battery/motor lifetime warranty promotion for selected BYD models purchased during the sales campaign period of 18-28 Feb 2026. See weblink for full details....a few snapshots from the weblink also below.

Remember, the BYD lifetime battery/motor warranty is "not" offered throughout the year for BYD vehicles....it's only offered under a promotional basis (i.e., whenever BYD feels they need to offer the lifetime warranty to increase sales).

I took my daughters and partner today for another test drive in the Geely EX2.

I wanted a direct comparison with the BYD Dolphin STD so we went in my daughters Dolphin.

It was immediately clear the EX2 is quite a bit smaller inside. The stereo is nowhere near as nice as the BYD.

The ride is a lot less pleasant in the EX2. With 5 of us in the car it definitely has more acceleration than the Dolphin with 4 people in it.

We all felt the Dolphin is the superior car.

Currently, there is a 50k THB discount on the Dolphin which makes it 550k THB, a full 100k THB more than December. Maybe we’ll see some offers at the motor show in March.

Incidentally, we had to pick some papers up at BYD and I asked the sales manager how many Dolphins they have sold this year.

She said Zero.

So here’s a video about the new Atto 3 , will it come to Thailand ??, i suspect it will.

But then again what do i know ( no answers please ! ).

The video is U.K. based and annoyingly makes many comparisons with 2 EV not available here but does highlight the changes from the previous Atto 3.

https://youtu.be/SNIupgb6mh8?si=dq83jaPOYOimE2pk

For those who can’t spare 14 minutes here are the main points.

Major changes are:

Larger battery ( 75 kw )

More HP

AWD version available

RWD on the single motor version.

( HP and 0-100 now similar to Seal/Sealion 7 territory ).

Faster charging ( 220 kWh ).

50 litres more rear storage and a healthy frunk (101 litres ).

Suspension has been improved to stop the bounce at speed somewhat.

Many other smaller changes:

1 wireless charger with cooling , but unless it is 50W not really useful ( turned my 2 x 15W wireless chargers off on my Seal long ago ).

Gear changes on steering stalk leaving a very clean looking centre console.

Guitar strings still in evidence but now in black.

Door pull inside now a more standard design.

Rear seat angle now adjustable albeit slightly .

Bigger instrument cluster, albeit still quite small .

Of course specs might differ on Thai models, if it comes, will all colours be available ?? , will there be 2 or 3 versions ?? etc

But it would be a major attraction if launched at the upcoming Motor Show.

One to consider ?, definitely !, but as always will depend on price !!

Surprised there isn’t any body changes, other than new wheels, there’s usually some grille or rear spoiler change even with a minor update, this is more of a major upgrade.

The colours will be interesting also, a new colour instantly highlights the “ hey look at me, I have a new car “ statement.

I did like the green colour the current Atto comes in, the blue being my least favourite, ironically it looks like there is a new deep blue colour ( even more ironically my current Space Grey car is predominantly blue !! ).

Not sure what colours are available for the current Atto 3 never mind the new version, as is with the prices they seem to change often.

Didn’t they drop the blue and the red when the black version came out ?

A new Obsidian Black ( apparently more of a metallic colour ) has been launched on the UK minor update Seal, that would be interesting to see in the flesh, normal black is on my no go list !.

By the way i am not in the market for a new car but as you can tell……. will power is definitely lacking 😞
