Popular Post Thailand Posted April 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2022 Usually when ordering items, particularly with the problems from China, we check to see if the "shop" is local -in Thailand. Some of the shops although indicating they are local and have stock are actually taking the order and then ordering from China and you suddenly find a 4=3-4 week delivery. have not checked but guess the same thing may be happening with Lazada. Just a heads up. 10 4 2
Popular Post CharlieH Posted April 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2022 Yes, the thing to watch for on Lazada is "sellers own fleet" on delivery details. That means its China ! 10 8
petermik Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 I,ve had orders come from China via Lazada in 8/10 days, pretty good...as I,m not in that much of a hurry when ordering from there...Shopee on the other hand not so good from China. 2
Popular Post KhunLA Posted April 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2022 Simple ... COD, tracking, if not arrive or on the way within acceptable time, cancel or refuse shipment. Order from different vendor in the meantime, and have when you want. Reviews give you a hint. Actual research can be handy. Yet to order from LAZ or Shopee or any vendor, aside from AliExpress (& expected) and not arrive in timely manner. 4
Popular Post transam Posted April 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2022 Lazada is better than Shopee, which has a confusing, too complicated app. The only place I could find a part for my phone was on Shopee, said shop in LOS, waited 2 weeks, got a message order cancelled because they could not deliver, yet in all day and no phone call.....????....So a bit pi__ed off, I have dismissed the order. Can't say I have ever had a prob with Lazada, app is easy to use, even on the PC, but you must be very careful at every stage of ordering.. Oh, I ordered a smartphone on Lazada, when it arrived it was a cheap copy of what was advertised, was nothing like the advert. I sent it back and got my money back after a couple of weeks...???? 6
ignis Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Most annoying Day 1 Order Dog Food they give delivery day 2 or 3 days Day 2 check order = Packed awaiting transport collection Day 3 check again = got a message order cancelled out of stock...... err ? the day before was packed ready for collection/delivery ?? Re order Dog Food from a different seller = this morning got a message order cancelled out of stock.. Ordered 100 strips Accu-Chek = last night got a message 'order cancelled' That is three cancelled Orders this week............ Ordered Dog Food + Fish Food + Accu-Chek Strips from Lazada for years !! 2
CharlieH Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 I made an order recently, yes it was China in no real rush, then AFTER the purchase delivery changed to 10-14 days, after 14 days nothing, no tracking as not Lazada, exchanged msg on "chat" they blamed Covid, after 20 days item finally arrives, ITS THE WRONG ITEM ! .Very frustrating. 1
billsmart Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 I regularly order items from mainly Lazada but also Shopee occasionally and have never had any problems as described here with either. 1
Popular Post Longwood50 Posted April 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2022 I use both Shopee and Lazada. More Shopee than Lazada because typically the price is better and often Shopee offers free shipping. I have had good experiences and bad experiences with both. The bad experiences tend to be sellers who advertise things but don't have them. They appear to be wanting only your name, address, email, and telephone number which I suspect they then sell to others to market to you. I have always got my money back but it is the lack of getting the merchandise coupled with the effort to get the refund that is frustrating. If I have a complaint with both organizations is that they don't police their sellers very well. In the USA if you are selling on Amazon or Ebay and have repetitive problems with customers they immediately close your account. With new sellers they are especially vigilent about shutting them down if the first few sales have problems with them. 3 1
Muhendis Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 (edited) With Shopee, if you look at the details to the right of the picture of the product of interest, just below the price it may say:- Pre-Order (ships in 30 days) or something similar. This means they ain't got it but they will get it for you from China if you would like to wait. Edited April 22, 2022 by Muhendis 2
Popular Post mikebike Posted April 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2022 Its like none of you knew drop-shipping was the way most of the sellers on both platforms operate... and like no one thought the lock-downs in China would affect their precious shipments. Weird. 3 4 2

This is a relatively new occurrence since China went in to full lockdown. I guess sellers are losing orders if they show "delivery from overseas" (China) so are showing their "shop" to be in Thailand and even declaring items as in stock. (Which technically I suppose they are -in China!). 3

Weird. Obviously many of their top selling, isn't drop shipped, from China anyway. Most things I buy are packed 1 day shipped 1 day arrive within 2-4 days after order place, if not sooner and I'm 300+ kms away from Krung Thep Tracking shows most shipments' movement Doesn't come from China unless custom's stop is noted, in both countries (CH & TH) of late I've ordered while in Krung Thep, and delivered before the end of day, 6pm 1 1
Popular Post Russell17au Posted April 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2022 I placed an order with a seller in China on Lazada on February 26 nd everything went smooth until the order was cleared by Chinese Customs and then the order stayed in China because China closed the border on March 4 but the order finally arrived yesterday April 21. I did look at the local sellers but they wanted 6 times the price and a 28 day pre-order which tells me that they want to rip the buyer off because they are buying the product from China then reselling at and the 28 day pre-order is to cover the delivery time from China to them but with the border closed they would not have been able to deliver either. Shoppee was the same. If you are buying from a local seller just make sure you have a look for the "28 day pre-order" near the price, if it is there then you can say for sure that the seller is buying the product from China. 5 1

chilly07 Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 And even when they have a Thailand address the HQ and point of delivery can still be out of the country with resultant import duty tax and additional charges by a courier you are unaware of 1

What really annoys me with the delivery companies - and I've experienced this several times and with different companies - is that you track the package and it says delivery refused, when the truth is that they themselves were unable to deliver due to whatever reason But then, as always in Thailand, it's someone else's fault, yours and not theirs. I guess their app doesn't have a setting for 'Can't be bothered to deliver today as promised'. 2 1

My experience with Shopee terrible two occasions orders from China incomplete. After using chat line was blocked, wrote to H.O here Bangkok. Was told block was error. Second occasion proof of error could not be added to the request form, sent all documents by mail to H.O Bangkok. All emails to them then blocked. Have now deleted Shopee totally from my list of on-line suppliers. Will never use them again.
kwak250 Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 The best part i find is when a item bought on Lazada is cancelled you cannot leave a reveiw. I have bought a few items that were a very good price and Guess what? If you stick to normal non-promotion items no problem thats what i have found.

AhFarangJa Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 It may be just me, but I sometimes get an ad on my phone to install Shoppee app. When I try I get a message that it is not available in my location. Also, I cannot get the page to load in English on the confuser, therefore I just stick to Lazada

I've been using Lazada for only six weeks now and I've already been messed around by a couple of sellers. still waiting for a big refund from one purchase where after 5 days of no contact he suddenly cancelled the order. so no, problems are not rare at all and threads like this are quite useful for getting tips on how to deal with that sort of stuff. you know, useful practical advice. unlike... 2 1 1

I ordered twice from same seller where it said seller's own fleet. Package arrived 2 days later by DHL and origin was here in Thailand. I guess that Lazada has an arrangement with the 3 other local delivery companies that sellers can ship through the Lazada system, but if the seller chooses not to use Lazada system then it shows seller's own fleet

Live out in the sticks 55 km from BKK, and often get deliveries in a private car next day, or even on a Motorbike.. the most surprising one was 20kg Fish Food ordered New Years Eve, it arrived New Years day at 10 am in a Honda City. Another item was ordered from Overseas [NO seller in Thailand had the part for my model] it arrived by the Postman within 48 hours.

I ordered jars of shredless marmalade from Lazada, then gat an email saying they were out of stock and would I like ordinary marmalade instead, I said no. About two weeks later I tried ordering them again, then they had them, they increased their price from 125Bt per jar to 235Baht per jar. Yes, different sellers, but now I am have problems signing in, something to do with security. If Lazada treated customers like this in a normal country they would soon be out of business.
