The suggestion about having a daily cap on posts is excellent. Not only does posting dozen and dozens - if not hundreds of posts - in a single day degrade the reader's experience, but you cannot tell me that that level of posting activity is healthy for the individual doing the posting either. ASEANNOW would also be well-advised to immediately discontinue the "popular contributors" sidebar. Most of the posters who regularly appear in this sidebar appear to be in an inane competition with one another over who will top the leader board, resulting in a major degradation of content quality. -

But whose truth are you speaking of? I generally tend to believe doctors, scientists and immunologists, mainly because they spend a long time being trained, and most of them know their particular subject very well Now are you a trained doctor or immunologist who is currently active in the medical world, or are you a self proclaimed anonymous keyboard operator hiding behind an alias with a bias against the medical and pharmaceutical profession. I am 80 years old and I see the doctor when I feel it necessary. If the doctor suggests that I need a vaccination or some meds, I tend to believe him as that is his job, that he has been trained for. I wouldn't ask him to fix my car, I would go to a mechanic for that. Nor would I ask a mechanic to sort out a medical problem for me. So why should I believe a poster on AN who is anonymous, and with no medical qualifications? -

2 obvious choices and many others dependent on your resourcefulness. i. Teach English in a language school. ii. Set up your own company and work for yourself. For the unqualified without a globally - transferrable profession (e.g. civil engineering, petrochemical, I.T., etc.) and I include myself, expect to work twice as long for the same pay or receive half your salary when working in Thailand in comparison to Farangland. I doubt it will work unless you and your wife can live really cheap or have decades-worth of savings to live off. -

yeah gree. Trump began saying that yes, Americans at first will have higher costs but that will be short lived, uh very short lived, now that short time he mentions a YEAR! but then says just a very short period and then golden riches for all (but he forgot to add ...for all the rich people that are still backing my tariff plan with their lower tax rates) IMHO.. This will be along side the new Americans cousins, you know from greenland, canada and panama canal areas as new "states" I guess. (wonder how to measure stupidity? -

Does this online community make you feel very happy and fulfilled?
Online communities? it's more or less just something to do. I feel like I'm talking to myself, mostly but I post anyway. But if it all disappeared tomorrow, I'd surely find something else to do. There was a time when the Internet didn't exist, and everyone survived. I read a lot. On X, I never post anything because my account is private or whatever, so anything I post would be read by about no one.
