Mini-Bus from Pattaya to Sai Tai Mai (Southern Bus Depot) Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi.

Does anyone know of a mini bus that runs from Pattaya through to the Southern Bus Station in Bkk?

If so, any contact details or departure spot would be most excellent.

The big blue bus ceased this trip a couple of years back.

We are off Soi Khaotalo.

Thanks

Unfortunately for some reasons the big blue buses have been displaced by these minivans. That doesn't mean you have to be forced into one of these sh*t boxes on wheels driven by whackos on bad speed. Obviously you are planning a trip South. It's one line so look into the train and you can start from Pattaya. https://www.thailandtrains.com/buy-train-tickets-from-bangkok-to-chumphon/

Always eager to learn something new I looked this up. There is some indication that this terminal is still closed?

Who knows more?

Southern terminal "Sai Tai Mai" is well and truly open for business.

Simple fact is that the bus/mini bus providers have cut bus routes and departure times in the current "no customers" times.

Strangely enuff I used to go Pattaya to Southern Sai Tai Mai and then went North to Suphanbuuri.

Cheers

The big blue bus as we know it now is only doing Mochit and Ekk from Pattata.

I now spend time on bus, BTS, taxi and mini bus to get from A to B.

Not complaining, just the old backpacker in me looking at a map without looking at my phone. Happy times.????????

Was there yesterday mid afternoon (Wed 18/05).

Pretty quiet upstairs on first floor. 7/11 gone, KFC & BlueBank were closed but not empty.

Not many traders left but still some going that I have seen over the last 9+ years.

Certainly isn't like the good old days....and once they are gone.....?

I'm still looking for options on Pattaya to Southern Bus Station travel.

Taxi and personal car are not options.

Thanks????

I know when my wife doesn't want to drive from Pattaya to BKK, she takes a van from this minibus place on Pattaya Klang, just down the hill from Foodland, they drop customers off at various sections in BKK, stop by and ask about going to Sai Tai Mai (I know for sure they drop off at the nearby Victory Monument).

Also Hua Hin or the airport from Jomtien if they're any good for your final destination?

I would NEVER travel  long distances in a mini van. One option is the bus from Thapraya/foodmart to Suwanapooni airport then the transit system  to BKK

Still going, the bus, I mean?

Big blue bus hasn't done Sai Tai Mai (Southern) for a number of years.

Pattaya to Mochit or Ekkamai (& return) still running.

I do Patt to Ekk on blue bus, BTS to Bang Wa & taxi to Southern.

Not a bad trip & good hungries at Southern upstairs.🙃🙃
