Dead bodies in the water usually tend to sink at first, but later they tend to float, as the post-mortem changes brought on by putrefaction produce enough gases to make them buoyant. Floating above the water ? How else do things float ? Things do not float below the water. " expected to be dead for about 2-3 days. " should read " Estimated to have been dead for about 2-3 days " " The authorities assumed that he was dead for about 2-3 days. " The authorities assumed that he had been dead for about 2-3 days. Geordies? Translated it does mean somebody from the New Castle area? Visited that place a couple times while in the (not UK) military. Trained in Otterburn a couple times a year and on our day off we had the choice between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Visited both a couple times. Would like to visit the area again. Salisbury was another nice place on our day off it was London.

Same over here, after 11 years in the military you pick all different dialects. In my case, I even became more fluent in two extra languages being based in other parts of the country. After working in tourism for almost 30 years I have the same thing with English and French.

Please understand that my comments on this thread were purely made in jest. However, if we're going done this road, then allow me to suggest that it is not unknown for someone to get a tattoo in a foreign language, although probably less likely among Asian ethnicities !
