Patong, Phuket – The Patong Municipality has warned the public that no fireworks or floating lanterns are allowed for any event, unless special approval is given by Patong officials, with punishment strictly being enforced.

 

The Patong Municipality today (May 18th) has announced, “Any kind of fireworks or floating lanterns are NOT allowed in any Patong area.”

Ah, OK, 'special licence' !

Like the signs in Pattaya saying no left turns allowed the English in the picture from Patong municipality leaves something to be desired - 

"NO fireworks of any kind and floating lanterns are allowed"
