Young, wild leopard cat tragically dies after being found injured and provided treatment in Thalang, Phuket

Phuket –  A young, wild leopard cat has tragically passed away this morning after succumbing to significant injuries in the Thalang district.

 

The director of the Khao Phra Thaeo Nature and Wildlife Education Center, Mr. Pongchart Chuahom, told The Phuket Express this morning, “Yesterday (May 18th) we received the leopard cat from local Thep Kasattri residents.

They said the leopard cat was found near a fence of the Khao Phra Thaeo Non-Hunting Area in the Thep Kasattri sub-district.”

One has to wonder what happened to the mother?

A sad story for sure but good to see these beautiful cats are still out in the wilds of Phuket.
