Looking for a water pump repair shop

I have an 8-year-old Hitachi WM-P400GX water pump in need of repair. It appears to have a power problem (the display does not turn on). The power source checks out ok. Before giving up on the unit I'd like to have an experienced repairman check it out.  Any recommendations?

Can you pull it and take it to a shop or do you need someone to come to you?  If the latter, where is the pump?
