At night there is a string of street bars that pop up all along the odd number side of Sukhumvit Road.

 

Any recent experiences with them? Any recommendations? Are some better than others?

There where years ago, don't think they have a restaurant license. 

Thought they where <deleted> anyhow.

 

Didn't the soldiers ban them a few years back?

 

They had been marvellous fun for some, including myself.

 

Mostly slightly p-ssed, but never really drunk  .... and I don't think I speak for just myself.

 

The drug peddlers spoilt it somewhat in the latter years.

There’s a couple ‘decent’ ones just up from Soi 11 (to 7)… under Skytrain stairs. Good people watching. 100 baht a short. Best to just walk past and sit at the one with the smiley people. Some go silly with the music.
