Hello,

I have a non-imm O based on marriage and just went for my yearly extension. Other years I have gotten the under consideration stamp with a “come back date” 1 month from when my extension expires.

However, this time the “come back date” is 1 month from today instead.

The officer explained it’s new policy, same in all of Thailand now (If I understood him correctly). Is it same everywhere now?

It messed with my plans since I will travel during the “come back date” early next month. Asked the officer and he said it’s ok to come a couple days later. But he could not guarantee I can check in hotel if it’s after the “come back date”. Soo.. I have to cancel my plans or anyone know if it will be a problem to check in hotel?

Sorry for the long post, thanks in advance ????

I don't follow.

Checking into any hotel is irrelevant.

I mean if the stamp say I have to come back 4 july and I will check in hotel 8 july. Don’t they check stamps and report to immigration? I can just check in hotel even though my extension has expired?

The under consideration stamp allows you to stay in the country until your extension is approved.

I suspect a hotel will not even pay attention to the date on the stamp.
