Friends wife is saying for a Thai national

(wife of UK national) to apply for a multi entry she must now provide some sort of medical certificate

Had 3 or 4  6 month visas previously.

Anyone confirm or deny this medical cert requirement.

Nonsense. There is no such requirement.

Thanks.

I have no idea where she got the idea from. Maybe thinking about the Covid check that has now gone.

Probably.

There has never been any health requirement for the application for a UK Visa. Covid entry rules applied in the UK at one point - but they have all been removed.

She had the idea it was only for multi entry 5 year.

Probably getting confused with the requirement for a TB certificate for Thais applying to stay for longer than 6 months (so not a visitor visa).

According to the website:

Tuberculosis tests for visa applicants

You’ll need to have a tuberculosis (TB) test if you’re coming to the UK for more than 6 months and are resident in any of these listed countries.

Thailand is one of the listed countries.
