As I said, I am not an economist, nor are you, but what I do understand is that Ms.Truss seems to be pointing out the Rishi's stuff ain't working, her ideas will take a different tack....

PS. It's "Truss"....I think you will get the hang of it eventually...????

PS.

You’ve got nothing. You have no idea how the candidates will cut inflation and are completely unable to back up your earlier assertion they can do so.

Do you want a video....I can't be fairer than that...????

One thing about videos is that they're time consuming. What can be read in a few minutes will take half an hour on a video. And another problem with videos is that they're much more difficult to fact check.  But I suspect that for you this is a feature, not a bug.

So you support Truss' plan for inflation even though you don't think it will be effective?

????....Here you go again, you are making stuff up........????

"I support Truss plan for inflation, even though I don't think it will be effective".............Where have I said any of that....????

All of which fits the Government of the past twelve years, and all candidates have been members of that Government.

That said, I think ‘internecine knife fight’ better describes the Tory leader selection process.

And before the resident pedants take umbrage, no, nobody is actually wielding a ‘knife’, though backs are being stabbed.

Backs being stabbed but not a knife fight?

One just for you from a socialist rag, it's OK though...

You defended her plan but you don't support it. And stop putting in quotes something I never wrote. Summarizing your opinion doesn't mean it's a quote.

Yet you produce nothing to refute the reported facts.

All you have is self serving inaccurate claims about the papers political stance - the paper is reporting what was said and you can’t refute that.

Socialist- LOL.

#gotruss- the opposition awaits.

I didn't see any facts. I saw a few opinions. Many of which were from Truss' opposition for the PM's job.

That's for sure.  However my concern the final decision will not be based on prudent economic policies of either candidate.  Based on various media channels I have listened to the conservative membership tends be to the right, far right of the political spectrum and it is suggested by some that they will be inclined to vote for a white British person rather than a British person of colour. Now I hope that is not the case as the person selected should be the one most capable of getting the UK out of the economic mess it is currently in, not the colour of their skin.

Oh give it a rest. Can't you have a sensible debate without screaming "racist"?

Have you seen how many non white Conservative MP's there are? Who do you think voted for them? Sure, not all voters would be members of the party but they are certainly supporters. Do only the racists make the step from voter to member? Laughable.

Nothing to do with me being racist, only you attempting to introduce it. Just reporting what other media is suggesting but perhaps you could not grasp what I posted which appears to be the case. Now if you want to stick your head in the sand and pretend otherwise  then it is up to you but don't show your ignorance of a poster you don't now by calling them names such as "racist" because apart from you attempting to degenerate this thread into a slanging much, it is against forum rules.

Where have I supported her financial plans, where did I say I don't support her plans..

Now please go away and find where I said that.

I support Liz for PM, her ideas will be put to her appointed Chancellor for discussion, that's it.

Now stop twisting stuff to suit your lefty agenda. Thank you...

I didn't say you were racist. You misread the post. Please re-read it.

I said you were implying that the Conservative members wouldn't vote for Sunak because he isn't white. It was quite an interesting debate and then you couldn't resist pulling the race card. Sad.

Seems you don't know what this thread is about.

Let me remind you, it is about a new PM for the Blues, not for the job of Chancellor.

Rishi has been the Chancellor for a long time, and it seems that his approach hasn't worked, even you lefty's have complained about it.

Liz want's to take a different approach, and seems confident of her plan working with her Chancellor and team.

Again, now read very carefully, for me, Liz for PM, with Rishi doing something else other than Chancellor........????
