Kratom and Kava in Thailand, where to find?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where to purchase kratom and kava in Thailand? Looking online, I can only find options from overseas.

Also, I know kratom is now legal, is kava?

Thanks

Every single Thai city and town has Kratom sellers on the side of the road. They hang out on main arterial roads outside the cities where there is a lot of passing traffic. Look for the sign that says  กระท่อม. I just drove from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and passed dozens, even hundreds of them on the side of the road. Many fresh markets have a Kratom seller or three.  Also, some supermarkets sell it, I've seen it in Lotus's before now. If you buy online, it will not be as fresh. Prices run from 50-70 Baht/100g for fresh leaf. Some of them sell the plants as well, they are easy to grow and quite hardy.

Kratom? Practically EVERYWHERE... kava a little bit harder

Kava , like drinking mud water , only made my mouth and tongue numb,

that was in Fiji .

Its all over the bloody place. Be careful though.....This stuff can be addictive and I have experience withdrawal from it. I got in the habit of taking it daily for a while and when  I stopped suddenly.....it wasnt too nice. Use sparingly.

On this subject, anyone have any experience making tea with leaves ?

Amount used, as I'm seeing recipe online, simply stated leaf / leaves with boiling water poured over and allowed to steep for 20-30 minutes, then ready.   Seems easy enough .... experiences ???

I took Kratom once....In my opinion it's not all that interesting...The buzz was pretty strong, but it did not do much for me....

If others like it that's fine by me..

Why looking online?  I haven't been to a local market and or chain, that isn't selling Kratom.  Kave...unfamiliar with.
