Airlines charge customers for quick check-ins at HCMC airport

Vietjet and Bamboo Airways are charging passengers up to VND140,000 ($5.97) for quick check-ins at Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat International Airport, sparking concerns of inequality.

 

Overcrowding at Tan Son Nhat's domestic terminal has seen operators like Vietjet Air, Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines charge passengers sick of the long queues a fee for priority check-ins.

 

On Sunday, a Vietjet booth offered quick check-in services for VND108,000.

It's no different from paying more for business class service,  just on a smaller scale imo.

I'd gladly pay $5  to not have to stand in a line for an hour or more.
