BANGKOK, July 21 (TNA) – Forensic science police examined the speedboat which exploded and caught fire in the incident which injured 20 people yesterday to find its cause.

 

The registered speedboat was totally damaged during its trip to send 18 tourists to Koh Tao in Surat Thani province for their vacation and diving lessons. Two crewmembers were also on board.

I think if you smell petrol in a car, you get it checked immediately...

I suspect that his car is not used for public transport nor monetary gain, unlike that speedboat was.

My guess is fuel and a spark... but not in the engine.

Looking at the amount of damage to the boat, those passengers and crew are incredibly lucky there were no fatalities.

Captain Somchai forgot to ventilate the engine room. Common lack of a routine job on a speed boat.

Outboard motors don't need much ventilation.
