A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to establish a strategic collaboration between Hua Hin’s Be Well Medical Centre and the Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital.

The Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital is a private hospital and part of the Bangkok Hospital health services network as Thailand’s only facility that specialises in oncology.  The hospital offers the latest best practice cancer care with a multidisciplinary approach to cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery to improve the quality of life and reduce the mortality rate of cancer patients.

That includes working with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre as a sister institute but now also with Be Well in Hua Hin as a partner providing primary care for patients in the Royal Coast region.

The partners will now provide information about various oncology topics through publication, seminars and other events, with oncology specialists regularly visiting Hua Hin for consultations with the Be Well family doctors and remote (VDO) consultations.

Mr Ralph Krewer, the BCH Business Development Director says “with Be Well’s presence in Hua Hin and their primary care capabilities we will be able to improve our service offerings to patients living in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces, notably in the field of early stage cancer diagnostics and care.”

Dr Paemika, family doctor and partner of Be Well says “through this partnership our patients will have access to Wattanosoth’s specialised care while minimizing the need to travel to Bangkok.”

Next will be a seminar in Hua Hin covering the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer on August 20th hosted by a visiting dermatologist and oncology surgeon.

The Be Well partnership with Wattanosoth is anticipated to further enhance Hua Hin’s reputation as a leading health and wellness destination.

But not for the poor Thai. Can't pay then will die at home untreated. Tired of these private money grubbing hospitals.
