A little odd here that no posts mentioning Rishi, does that mean you are all backing Rishi, I know bluespunk is secretly backing Truss so his Party may get an opening, but why no Rishi chat...

Are the lefty rags not talking about him...?

Based on your own words from earlier in this thread

So you think Yahoo news is all I read, now you may only read The Guardian, but please don't post assumptions regarding what I do.

Thank you.....????

I don't have a party...and I am hoping truss wins, not because I back her but because she is going to be a gift to the opposition.

Though sunak is increasingly lurching to the right of right of centre, so a good chance he will be equally inept.

Thank you.....????

Nah, you should thank those dumb enough to vote in Truss

#votetruss-promising without understanding

I would expect you to say that, but you forget, those who are voting are not socialists, they are Conservatives, and think very differently to the lefty's.  ????

Where haven't you said that?

You dismiss comments about an article written by Truss as not relevant and muck raking by 'lefties', ignoring the fact that the issue was raised by Alaister Stewart - a GB news presenter; hardly an organ of the Communist party - in his TV interview with Truss last week.

You also want to curtail a discussion on the effects of tax cuts on the economy as you state that evidence cited about the US in the '80s is not relevant, ignoring the fact that policy makers - such as Truss and Sunak - are guided by empirical evidence.

There are numerous other examples that could be cited but you would probably dismiss them as off-topic despite having posed the question.

I have no idea what you consider to be 'on-topic'.

Who is in the lead now, Liz or Rishi.....?   ????

Yet you won't share the source of this information so that I might enlighten myself.

Any discussion about policy seems too complicated for you.

So far as movement by Sunak and Truss is concerned. Yes, I imagine both will move today (and probably have already). I'd hazard a guess that both might walk, use a car and, perhaps, take a train.

1. Why should I tell you where I read, am not one of your lefty's.

2. You are more interested in me....????....than the topic of two in a race for PM.

3. Well done......:clap2:

The media - left, right or centre - is not talking about Sunak because they all believe that Truss will be the next PM and therefore - to all intents and purposes - Sunak is now largely irrelevant.

It's as simple as that. There is no left-wing conspiracy to give Sunak an easy ride IF that is what you are implying.

You mean, the media, to earn its wages, must try and trash someone to bolster the others chances to keep things going.

Sounds a bit "Cliff Richards" to me, but that's our modern world, eh. ????

I find it strange that your click are doing exactly the same thing here, nothing about Rishi...????

sunak getting desperate and trying to appeal to the anti lockdown faction-you know, he could be just as disastrous a leader as truss.

The future is indeed bright…electorally for the opposition that is.

For the country, less so.

Thanks, at last some words about Rishi, albeit based from The Guardian again...

So you came back with an ad hominem.

I came back with a "Thank you", you have shown that your involvement in this thread has nothing to do with Liz & Rishi, it's about your dislike of the Conservative Party in general, and those with a few bob that vote Conservative who are old and live in the south.... Hilarious.

In the last General Election, many of your click voted Conservative, a landslide Blue victory, are you telling me there were hardly any from the north, as it seems many of your crew from the North dumped the Red's.

Get yourself straightened out, chips on shoulders can be unhealthy over time...Take care....????

Again, personal attack that fails to address my point that the Conservative  Party membership that is selecting the next PM is not at all representative of the wider population.

The candidate they choose based on their out of touch views is not a choice of the population at large, nor would it be.

1. No personal attack, a response to your words. Again, thank you .

2. The Conservative Party is having an internal vote for a new leader, read the topic heading.

3. Your Labour Party followers has nothing to do with it. FACT..

If they’re dumb enough to vote truss I don’t care. She will be a gift to the opposition.
