Hannah Turian, who just completed the second year of her psychology degree, had travelled to Thailand to volunteer in a school. When the Cardiff University student came home, she unpacked her toothbrush and a few other items from her suitcase at 1.30am. She'd been travelling for 35 hours and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary in her luggage. The next morning, she was on the phone to her mum and was in for a serious shock. She told WalesOnline: "I was up early because I was quite jet lagged. I heard something moving and didn't know what it was. Then I saw something had moved in my suitcase so I shut the suitcase, ran out of my room and screamed. They get 40 quid a week straight off the boat, some are put up in nice hotels and have immediate health care. I would call all that state benefits. kidneyw Posted August 10, 2022 Posted August 10, 2022 Found one in my suitcase after arriving in Kurdistan having travelled from Pattaya. Put it in a small pool of water outside, below my aircon unit. Never saw it again as this was in the dessert.
