I only know of a few people that haven't had COVID.

Count me in to your running total - though only by my screen name.

Better than wearing your jacket over your face.

Its the jacket thing I don't understand. He could have taken off his underpants and put them over his face. Would look a lot better than a jacket, wouldn't?

Some people its nothing more than a runny nose.

I only new because everyone in our family we're sicker than dogs.

I tested positive but didn't have any symptoms.

But your number 9 now.

It was mentioned he had his jacket wrapped around his mouth in the article. (I think he mentioned it, I'm pretty forgetful).

He probably would have taken some pretty girls panties but some sweaty falangs underwear for a mask is a stretch, might get Monkey Pox.

It is amazing the number of Thai motor bike riders I see wearing masks but no helmets. I hope the masks can save their lives when they have an accident.

Yes, to be honest I am surprised it took them that long to deplatform him.

Stay safe and enjoy your weekend.

Twice, in two different Makros I was told to put on a mask when there were Thais with no masks within earshot.  Rules for me but not for thee.  Same old racist sh..

Yesterday, I went to Big C Extra on Pattaya Klang. Almost every Thai wore masks and almost no farangs wear them. I wear them in malls to engender respect, not my country. Masks wearing is very mixed outside of malls and offices, etc.

I have been back in the UK since May and have not once worn a mask. In fact its only a rare occurance that you see anyone wearing one. UK infection rates are falling and have been for the last month. In fact I cant remember the last time I heard anyone in the UK speak of Covid. My Thai wife is here with me and also does not wear a mask. When we return to Thailand in October if it is compulsory of course I will wear one, if not I have no intention of doing so even if everyone else is wearing one.

we should be complying and wearing a mask.

No, we shouldn't. This whole argument about respecting our hosts is ridiculous. We should be showing them the way. It's because of us that single used plastics is finally on a down trend. We have a lot to learn from the Thais but they have a lot to learn from us too.  Their mask wearing is based on fear porn and propaganda. Thai people are less educated and more trusting of the establishment government and media. That's never a good thing.

Took MRT and BTS today. All Thais masked up. One farang just came from airport, trying to cover face with his jacket - gave him a mask and he seemed happy to wear it.

There were however a bunch of westerners walking into train with no masks on. You could see disgust from Thais who started to move away from them, and looking away, trying to "breathe the other way". They must have been noticed as BTS played message that although mask mandate ended, BTS recommends wearing mask within 30 seconds of maskless foreigners coming in the train. Those of course completely ignored everything, some even coughing or showing difficulties breathing, which showed others moving away from them.

When in Rome, do as Romans do, right? Except for the ultra überrasse farang visiting Thailand...

So how did they pass through the "turn stiles" without the BTS security person stopping them. Obviously not now know allowed to stop non-mask wearers entering the network. However mask wearing still required at Thai domestic airports,

Neighbor next door to us has had covid 3 times, unvaccinated, Chinese Thai. 1st time hospitalized for almost 3 weeks, second time he was taken by an ambulance and the next day returned with a private nurse, and then just last week his daughter knocked on the door, and told us he had tested positive and would be isolating again.  The man is always going  to the night-clubs and is somewhat of a playboy.  Good thing he works from home running his import export business I guess.  He has refused to wear a mask, even though it is mandated by the Juristic committee for wearing in all common areas as well as lifts, the wearing of a mask is posted in all lifts as well as on all floors.  The juristic manager has fined him numerous times, he just pays the fine. The same for his smoking, he smokes in the hallway and right under the sign that says no smoking.  We stay clear of him.  We have had it one time, and it put us down for almost 3 weeks, loss of smell and taste with some other issues after the main symptoms went away.  We wear masks in the common areas, and when we are inside businesses, but outside we tend to remove them and put them on as we approach large crowds.

Is it 2021 again? Thailand seems doomed into a permanent covid craze while most of the rest of the world outside of Asia just moves along. In most of Europe masks were gone months ago. According to some in this forum I guess we are supposed to be stupid for not maintaining a healthy fear addiction for one single virus.

Mask wearing is based on facts and common sense. You make up your own facts if you like.

As with yourself they may have had it but zero smyptoms.

I actually suspect it's likely i've had it more than 3 times, like many.

Although you've never had it as you've got a fool proof way to protect yourself - comedy gold.

Nothing is foolproof, the basics usually are a great help, which is worth remembering.....????
