A lot of money will be flowing in for such a story.

How to know it isn't a scam?

This was my first thought too, a bank a/c number posted on a forum and people generously donating without any due dilegence....

It has not only appeared on Thaivisa.   Did you not see the link?

I just am wondering whether her being a 17 year old female has any connection with people willing to donate money to her .

Would some people also donate if it was a fat overweight  male ?

People who think that should maybe start crowdfunding for themselves and find out

It definitely adds to the story.

Doctors around transport departments charge 100 baht for a fake health certificate for driving licenses. How much do they charge someone for a fake HIV diagnoses?

For me it hit me because she was born with 2 big strikes  1) Poor family 2) HIV.  Someone like her I would help in anyway i can.  Even with these  disadvantages she is trying to improve her life by getting an education.

Before I read about Magic Johnson, who was diagnosed with HIV in 1990, I thought HIV was a death sentence.  But with Anti-Virals many can live for a long time. I wish NatchaneeCha a long and happy life.  I have kept her account number and will try and send her some money from time to time in the future.

I agree with you in all points, you are a true gentleman ????

Not a scam, you will feel good from having helped a young worthy person in need. Priceless.

Scam, you will have lost a couple of big notes.

Easy decision for me, just sent my part.

What's a conjunction?

Its where two or more roads meet and people hang around on the corner trying to trick you out of your money.

I wonder why some people are so full of themselves that they post self-congratulatory comments detailing their contributions?

I wonder why you perceive what people have done as them being full of themselves and their posts as being self-congratulatory.  (Actually, I don't.)

Why else post what one's donation was?    What possible other reason could there be?   I did write "some people", not everyone.
