I need to rent a 7 passenger minivan in Bangkok

Featured Replies

I need to rent a 7 passenger minivan/MPV in Bangkok from 22nd to 31st October. The nearest suitable vehicle I can find from the rental agencies is a Toyota Fortuner with 2 very small fold down seats in the rear. This is not suitable as we need 7 adults and baggage. I tried Europcar, Avis, Hertz and online brokers with no joy.

Does anyone here know where I might rent something susch as an Alphard or similar? Any help very much appreciated.

There are not a lot of rental car options between 7 seat SUVs and 12 seat vans in Thailand like the Toyota Commuter.  Even for the commuters, availability can be limited and prices are not much cheaper than a local van with driver.

Bizcar do show a Vellfire in their fleet if something fancier is required. https://www.bizcarrental.com/en/our-car/

Thanks. I looked at the options from other Siam Rent and prices were about same as hiring a commuter van with driver including fuel etc. Whilst researching further I came across www.thaitransfers.com who have now quoted me very favourable rates for the whole trip. We will go with them as it saves me the hassle of driving and parking etc. I've posted their quote response below. Bear in mind that there are two days of no use however we would still have had to pay car hire for those two days. Will try to update here after the trip in case it's useful for anyone else.
