Cheap, skinny tires.

Recently, changed the heavy tires on the Lifan-X-200

to much smaller, lighter models.
Noticing better acceleration and braking &
livelier handling.
????
The KTM Duke 200 has
Perelli Diablo Rossi Sport
[now 5100baht mounted ]
F 110/70-17 tires    on 3” rim
R 140/70-17            on 4” rim.
Good tread but cracking side-wall.
~3 y/o.; 10Kkm.

Will be changing to
fresh-from-the-VeeRubber-press,
 in  3-weeks:
F 100/80      on the 3” rims
R 130/70 &   on the 4” rims
VRM-251

Interesting, my Pirelli MT 60 RS on the Scrambler didn't develop cracks so fast but I'm not sure where they were manufactured. Not near my bikes so can't check. Have taken the leap of faith and got a set of IRC tires for the CBR. Actually very happy with those for over 9 months now. Would do again.

IRC & VRC both make a lot of tires here.

The Vee's cost 1/2 as much, as P.

Albeit 1-size smaller.

Same results this time.

They look better too,

both size-wise

and the unique rain-tire tread pattern.

Maybe will hold a little better in rainy.

The day after mounting,

1st ride, notice rear wash-out on wet corner.

Turns out, near flat.

Air-up at local shop then back to iMoto.

They dunk-tank checked.

Couldn't find leak,

but seems ok now.
