Mae Sariang looks a good town - Mark Wiens showed some great food.

Hoping to drive that way myself in December so will monitor your post. Been south from Mae Sot to "Thi lo su" waterfall that's quite a trek. Mae Ka Sa waterfall looks interesting just a short drive north of Mae Sot.

Rode the full Mae Hong son loop a few years ago, Loved Mae Sariang!

Lovely drive, as have done a few times.  More waterfalls, better along the way.  Gmap will fill you in on all you need to know. 

 

Been a while since I've driven it, as twice was enough for present wife.  Better,  current info on Gmap.

Mae Sariang looks great to me. Few tourists unlike Pai, better food!
