Yes, owner of house or hotel staff supposed to register guest when staying at any place. Shows up on immigration computer when extending.

 

Never asked for TM 30 for any procedure outside of immigration.

    No... there is no requirement for embassy certification of your home nations Driving licence when applying for a Thai Driving Licence.

It was getting a residence certificate from immigration that I was talking about.
