Wonder what this will do for Chinese tourism?

There is no true Chinese tourism to Thailand, President for life XI and his zero covid policy have seen to that.  Those coming into the country are coming from outside of the mainland.

Exactly. The Thai government LOVES for rich Chinese to come live here but many come with serious vices as well, or their children do. Do they continue this push for wealthy Chinese residents and hand out token fines from time to time, deporting/blacklisting, or jailing them?

Aren't these the QUALITY, big spending tourists they want?

On MDMA, of which "Molly" is some variety, if pure and unadulterated it's shown promise in clinical trials to treat PTSD in the US, and may soon become prescription medication.

It's a positive, happy, social drug. It's biggest issues are being cut with other, harmful substances, and dehydration from too much dancing. It's hardly most of the stuff found in the LOS that sends people into violent rages. If controlled and regulated, more of it could definitely be used here.

About 20 years ago I was shy, lonely, and depressed, and along with friends I made in the electronic music scene, it got me through some difficult times.

I saw a report yesterday that the Chinese have their own 'Police stations' in several countries to 'persuade' dissidents to return home to their 'Familys'

Yeah, and now they've found conclusive evidence linking meth and similar synthetic chemical cocktail type drugs to Alzheimer disease. So I'm glad I never took the stuff, those that have are probably living with an elevated potential to lapse into an Alzheimer state at any time..

You got a link to that "conclusive evidence"?

In this case a casino and the police did not know anything about it!

How strange.

So a Casino is set up, hundreds of people visit and as you say the police know nothing. Maybe they should start to exclude persons who are totally blind from the force.

Sorry i missed the bit where it says ''illegal establishment''.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes, it makes a difference if lots of illegal activity is going on or if the establishment itself was illegal.

But then again, I guess if they would have called it illegal drug supply house then it couldn't be legal.

Possibilities exist, or Hong Kong  Macau or Mongolia...it's all truly, well supposedly part of China.

If they had their way, we would all be part of China! Maybe in the not too distant future we will be!

Detective, metropolitan, immigration and forensic police searched the building where there were about 20 karaoke rooms and a storage room that kept several hundred packs of ketamine and “happy water” drugs.

There police found 237 people, mostly Chinese, as well as 29 Thai workers and Cambodians

Operating for how long under the noses of local plod?

What exactly is a "Luxury Karaoke"?

Luxury Karaoke = Brothel.

That's the saddest KTV I've ever heard of.  237 men and 29 women... That's like 10-men per room and only 1.9 women companions.

Successful Asian luxury KTVs would have way more women than men to sing along and keep pouring the beer & cognac +cola.

I had no idea what it was so I did a Google search and found this.

https://edition.cnn.com/2013/11/22/health/9-things-molly-drug/index.html

By Drew Griffin, Nelli Black and Patricia DiCarlo, CNN
Updated 10:57 AM EDT, Thu March 29, 2018

The drug called Molly isn’t what most of its users think it is. Many articles online say the drug is “pure” MDMA, the active ingredient in Ecstasy.

Users often talk about the “purity” of taking Molly, as if it’s somehow better; after all, MDMA was originally developed as a medication to treat depression. But today’s Molly is most often not MDMA: In the past few years, the drug has become a toxic mixture of lab-created chemicals, according to the US Drug Enforcement Administration.

Here are nine things everyone should know about this rapidly changing party drug:

1. What is Molly?
Someone who buys or takes Molly now is probably ingesting dangerous synthetic drugs that have not been tested and are produced in widely varying strengths. The DEA says that only 13% of the Molly seized in New York state the past four years actually contained any MDMA, and even then, it often was mixed with other drugs. The drugs frequently found in Molly are Methylone, MDPV, 4-MEC, 4-MMC, Pentedrone and MePP.

More in the link.

People actually take <deleted> like that for enjoyment?

There must be some very strange people out there.

Holly molly!

It's the same with any drug prescription and illegal drugs. They are ok if they follow the doctors prescription for the amount that has to be taken .

As for the illegal ones Moderation is the norm, many people who use the drugs in moderation do/work fine .

If one abuses the drugs then it's a big problem and become junkies ,

A point from no return.

Hahaha!  Didnt they also 'invent' Reefer Madness?  Look how accurate that was hahahaha!

I would search for a more reliable source.

Then please go ahead and do so, and then post back here with your conclusions and the links to support them.

99% sure that whats being passed off as Molly here is not actually Molly.  I've experimented here and the taste is off.  When you do Molly it's exactly as you describe, social, uplifting and just feels pharmaceutical...and it has that bitter licorice taste to it, especially if Saffrole was used in the synth.  You're clear-headed and there's none of that 'dirty' feeling with it.  I've had true Molly twice in my life between the years of 2000 and now.

As westerners our sense and ability to be able to handle drugs is very different than locals.  These guys can't hold their dope for anything.  This is like one of the only places and times in my life Ive ever heard of people being hospitalized for smoking weed.

Glad you made it through tough times.  I was much the same. ????
