Chinese in entertainment business in Thailand: Big Joke contacts Interpol and investigates money sources

Siam Rath reported comments by Royal Thai Police deputy Pol Gen Surachate Hakpan who is continuing to investigate Chinese businessmen running entertainment businesses in Thailand. 

 

The top cop known as Big Joke said there are 5 main suspects. 

 

Two have been arrested and three have fled the country.

 

Those three left Thailand on a private jet after the raid at Jin Ling in Yannawa.

 

He said they are mixed up in money laundering via residential properties, condominiums and luxury vehicles in Bangkok.

 

It involves hundreds of millions of baht in assets.

 

Details were by and large accurate according to information supplied by Chuwit Kamolwisit. 

 

He said he had instructed AMLO - the anti monely laudering office - to investigate the source of Chinese wealth.

 

There is plenty of evidence to prosecute the two already arrested. 

 

Those who have fled have been blacklisted already. 

 

The process is underway to contact Interpol to have arrest warrants issued for the three who have fled. 

 

There is no evidence as yet that state employees aided their flight.

 

But immigration officers are being investigated for giving them student visas.

Nobody mentioned the work "Triad" here yet?

 

The BP version of this story yesterday states that the heads of the 5 major Chinese Triad gangs have only just been declared persona non grata here. Wonder how long they've been operating beforehand.?

They can contact interpol all they want. It is likely they will be ignored. They greatly over estimate their own legitimacy.

The triads go back hundreds of years. Logically, they have been operating in Thailand for a century or more.

Hmm. They could afford private jets but still rely on student visas? Could not get elite? I don't know why people with millions want to use their national passport, instead of a purchased one. My friend wanted to hide 5 million US (all legitimately earned and reported to IRS) from patent trolls and their lawyers, he purchased an Antigua and Barbuda passport for 100K and then got a Thai elite visa on that to enter Thailand before stepping into Thailand for the first time. For a few years, Lawyers/private detectives of Patent trolls companies could not locate him and then gave up in their search. This will not work if somebody is involved in criminal activities but one can hide from private lawsuits.  He is a member of this forum but visits rarely.

Interpol does not issue "arrest warrants", it issues advisory Notices.

It has been well-publicised that Interpol were contacted by the RTP and a Red Notice was issued.  Just because you don't care to remember that (or never bothered to read the reports about it) doesn't mean that double standards are in play.

None of those "charges" exist for Vorayuth.  He is charged with reckless driving causing death, nothing else.

They are smart, high net worth international criminals. Why on earth would they pay for an Elite visa?

This is a lie, Lavo Kingdom was in charge in the 17th Century which was Vedic and connected with the Safadyd Empire, Han China was nowhere close to Siam, and Europeans were more influencial than any small amount of Chinese traders. Only in the mid 1880's was the first major immigrant boat of Chinese coming to Siam, the next 140 years to now is how they assimilate, take over the business community, then governance, all while being the minority of the country
