this freaking weather

Featured Replies

I am watching webcams over youtube of samui and it rains all the time...can you even go to the beach?

I mean I would just jump on a plane, rent a bungalow but hey, it is raining all the time....

so what you do in rain? you just stay inside?

here in pattaya it is sunny everyday, no rain now for few weeks

It has been sunny and hot for the last three days where I live.

We had one day of rain and two days of drizzle before that.

No rain forecast until next week and that is likely to disappear before then.

Samui is an island. It has different weather patterns.

Samui is not just Chaweng or Lamai.

It is not a village like Pattaya is.

No web cams in my part of the island.

Maybe try being more specific with your questions.

Not a good time to be on Samui.  Worst month weather wise, unless very lucky.

October is wet season here in Samui, and can sometimes rain through to mid January.

Don't know if it's due to climate change , but hasn't been too bad the last two years.

I can remember people kayaking on Chaweng beach road several years ago, and even seeing Chaweng lake burst its banks.

If you want almost guaranteed sunshine, better wait until February before coming here.

The first full moon in November signals a season change end of rainy season hence 'Loy Krathong'

weather is cooler and no rain since 8th on KC.

It's monsoon-season on Samui during November and December – that's why accomodation is so cheap up til just before Xmas – you can have outstanding days with sun and calm sea, and you can have utterly horrible two weeks with storm, high waves, and so much rain that parts of the are flooded. November-December on Samui is just like playing the lottery, sometimes you are lucky and win a jackpot...????????

And if you don't win the lottery...???? – just the get best out of your stay and enjoy the alternatives to the beach, like the main road in Chaweng...

I hope he's had his shots.

That's just disgusting.  I won't even walk in a flooded street, let alone lay or play in it.
