Popular Post webfact Posted November 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted November 13, 2022 Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, right in above photo and left in Front Page photo, and Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Palang Pracharath Party leader Prawit Wongsuwan. Photo: INN News By Thai Newsroom Reporters PRIME MINISTER PRAYUT Chan-o-cha has been suggested to help make Palang Pracharath Party boss Prawit Wongsuwan an elected prime minister instead of preoccupying himself with personal whims to prolong his rule, said a partisan source over the weekend. Prayut has been strongly advised that he lend solid support for Prawit’s hush-hush scheme to be named the No.1 Palang Pracharath candidate for prime minister and give up on his sustained efforts to prolong his rule for only two more years provided by law, according to the partisan source who spoke on condition that he not be identified. Prayut who has reportedly intended to prolong his rule provided by court until 2025 has so far remained non-committal as to whether or when he may ever decide to run for prime minister under the tickets of the Palang Pracharath Party or probably turn to the brand-new Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party which has been primarily set up as an alternative to Prawit’s camp with the top post of a post-election government at stake. smedly Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 OMG, how about the people actually electing you and not just the party you are connected too - win your individual seat - oh that's right you don't need too, as long as you are a member of the various parties on offer you can appoint whoever you like as long as you are a member of the partys that formed a coalition .....corrupt as ## and more important .........not even close to democracy - win a seat voted for by the people and become an MP..............not in Thailand, I feel sorry for the Thai people when they think they have democracy because they vote - why do you end up with these same people you didn't vote for running the country ??????? 1 1

chuang Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 In Thailand power is wealth... Everyone wants to be a minister or at least an MP...
Thailand Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 No need to spoil the P's fun with a pointless election that would be won by men in uniform anyway.
Will B Good Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 ....and there's me thinking the electorate might at least have a say

If I remember rightly, didn't Prayut himself decribe it as "Thai-style democracy"?
jonclark Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Wow what a choice. Would sir prefer a kick in the nuts or having a rather large pineapple shoved up his <deleted>. The outcome in either case will joyless...but the effects long lasting.
