Seems like the Republicans are not making the invrstigation a priority, but oh well, it has now been moved to a special council they have no control over.

The system is designed to ensure the defendant gets as much time as needed to defend himself. The defense gets unlimited continuances for any and everything, but if the prosecution needs a continuance it must be because of an act of god occurred.  I had a case dismissed because I was in Trial in another courtroom and the defense would not waive time as they knew I was tied up, and would not assist in granting the continuance.  Because of that the judge dismissed the case and the DA decided not to refile it....sad state of affairs when that happens.

The last time Republicans ran the House, the likely next speaker, then-Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, bragged about using the Benghazi investigation, a two-year, $7-million spectacle to hurt Hillary Clinton's chances of becoming president. There are some posters who routinely complain about how long investigations take.  They should be thrilled if this delaying tactic is ended.
