The Computer controls the people ...?

Monkeys control the computer. The video shows a  Neuralink monkey playing computer Pong by thinking. The first part explains how he is trained, and shows him playing Pong at 1:50 where the video starts. Maybe later, monkey controlled computers can control humans.

The list of people in the world you would trust to put a chip in your head does not include Elon Musk.

Would you trust anyone to put a chip in your head? I wouldn't.

However, the potential is there ( after many decades of development ) to use chips in brains to cure certain diseases. Early days yet though.

The plot thickens.

Musk suddenly starts making exaggerated claims about the brain implant technology under development in one of his companies.

Why would he do that right now?

Well it seems there are problems.

Is he now moving into the mad scientist role, his wild experiments to save humanity being destroyed by lesser mortals who cannot grasp what he’s trying to achieve?:

Musks neuralink company now under investigation for animal cruelty. Apparently musk is pushing hard to get his chip to the market first, mistakes being made because of the pressure being put on employees and animals being put down because of this.

hard core doesn’t seem to work there then…

Try it on himself?  NO WAY!  He won't even ride in one of his own rockets.  Wouldn't surprise me to hear he doesn't even drive a Tesla.
