Probe ordered after 17 defence students hospitalised after harsh training

The commander of the Fourth Army Region has ordered an investigation after 17 territorial defence students, in Thailand’s southern province of Narathiwat, were sent to hospital suffering from severe dehydration, some of whom had to be given dialysis.

 

A Facebook post, by someone who calls himself “Sariman”, asked why first year territorial defence students are being sent to hospital after being subjected to harsh training.

Freight train derailment in Songkhla Province

Several cargo carriages became derailed after a freight train left Hat Yai for the Padang Besar border town in Sadao district of Songkhla Saturday).

 

Initial reports said that the 20-car No. 707 freight train, was arriving at Village 2, in Khlong Ngae sub-district, when it derailed following a loud explosion. 11 freight cars were thrown off the track.

Thai VietJet Air warned by CAAT after three flight cancellations on Thursday

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has warned Thai VietJet Air that it could face punitive action if it does not comply with air service rules. The warning comes after its three flights on the Bangkok-Phuket route were cancelled on Thursday, causing inconvenience to many passengers.

Thai troops clash with armed drug traffickers, seize 200,000 meth pills

Thai army troops seized 200,000 methamphetamine tablets today (Sunday), following a brief gun battle in Mae Ai district of the northern province of Chiang Mai, near the Thai-Myanmar border.

 

Troops from the Pha Muang task force were on a routine patrol along a jungle trail when they stumbled upon a group of about five armed men. Some of them were carrying heavy backpacks thought to contain illegal narcotics.

Neurologist Worried About Covid-Infected Tots Getting Seizures
