Every year between Christmas and New Year I take Grandweans out shopping and then to eat. Last year they wanted Shabu, before that, Sushi. This year they want Pizza. My preferred choice of restaurant closed during the Pandemic and has not reopened. 

Recommendation please for a good quality,not junk, Pizza in Muang Chiang mai or not far outside.

But the pizza at The Dukes is also relatively good, advantage of The Dukes would be that it has multiple locations, and a variety of other food if some people don’t want pizza.

Pizza My Heart on Nieman Heiman is the current favorite for many, consistently rave reviews.

 

I don't think anyone here makes a pizza I would put in the AAA+ class, something along the lines of Buddy's or Shields in Detroit. You can fine good pizza here but not truly excellent pizza.

I find it so amusing that Americans think they are pizza connoisseurs. Just remember where it originated and also remember that Domino's lasted in Italy for only a short time and withdrew after losing a fortune. The best pizza around here is at Pizza Plus in Doi Saket. I have Manhattan friends who always go there when the need a pie and swear it is better than back home.

Duke's was OK when I had it, but very thick, reminded me of Pizza Hut.  

 

Pizza My Heart in the west end of town was tasty and crispy.

Street Pizza on Tha Pae road. Can be hard to locate if you don’t realize that is located on the second floor of it’s building
