Mid-70's maybe. No major health issues. She was actually at an expat function and appeared to be fine. She went to sleep that night and never woke up. So sad for everyone but mostly her husband of many decades Roger. They met in college and were together ever since.

Way too young, 68, as almost 1 yr older than myself.  Born early 1954, me late 1954,

Wow... so sad!   NancyL was a longtime and active member of the forum, and AFAIK, did a lot especially to assist elderly foreigners living in the Chiang Mai area with care issues.

  • I remember Nancy winning a well deserved "poster of the year" here on the forum and the tales of your Ginger cat.[mr bitey?)   You were a great help to many on and off this forum, RIP.

You're kidding me.  She was a wealth of information and assistance to the Chiang Mai expat community.  RIP lady.  You'll be missed.

RIP Nancy

Thank you for posting the link.     I never spoke personally with Nancy but we did  exchange several emails.    She graciously offered to assist my wife at the time of my death.     I wanted to show my appreciation personally in advance  so I ended up bank  transferring a donation to her organization.

I'm happy to read Nancy died painlessly unlike so many who suffer lengthy periods of pain and suffering.

She is a woman of merit.
