calcium buildup in pipes, water output / flow out of faucets and shower slowing

the house I live is in 14 years old and over the years the flow to some faucets and showers became less

the house has a 1000 liter water tank outside and pump to move it around the house

anybody had this kind of problem and found a solution to this ?

I was thinking of emptying the whole tank, preventing to refill.

Then put in 10-20-30 liters of vinegar in the water tank and open the faucets or showers once by one, till I can smell the vinegar

and leave it overnight to soak and hopefully dissolve the calcium deposits.

Is this safe for the pipes ?  Any better suggestions ?

Thank you.

Could be just the filter/aerators in the faucets.

But yes the heater. That can be given the vinegar treatment by disconnecting the flexibles and raising them above the heater.

good first check

also check any filters around the pump and clean them

Might check the pump to see if it has gotten old and weaker before you do a big deal with the pipes.

Reverse the connections so your flowing water backward through the heater to blow it out.
We do that a couple of times a year and it works like a champ.
