Popular Post webfact Posted January 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2023 By Thai EnquirerThailand’s way of dealing with the expected influx of Chinese tourists starting this Sunday is much weaker than other countries that have put in place a requirement of RT-PCR test to be done before these tourist head into their country. The move by the Thai government to impose restrictions on to arriving Chinese tourists has come after heavy criticism that the government of 2014 coup leader Prayut Chan-o-cha was not doing enough to prevent another wave of outbreak. The Thai government has come out to say that it was looking to impose entry regulations on all travelers to prevent outbreaks of Covid-19 from the expected influx of tourists this year, with no specific rules for Chinese tourists. Just maybe they should think about how to close the border for all the young kids in Thailand and not about the buck. They are highly infected in China, keep them there until covid gets manageable there. 4 2 3

Popular Post ikke1959 Posted January 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2023 Thailand is afraid of China that is all.... and they need tourists for the economy.... But with half baked measures there will be much more damage than decent measures.. Do as China a RT PCR test not older than 48 hours before departure for the Chinese, as they require too to entry heir country...and the rest leave it, leave it 2 2 3

You can't prevent a 'wave of outbreak' - not a chance. You might be able to slow it down for a few weeks at best but once it's in an establishes itself then it will spread like wildfire - that's what happened in China. The Chinese military response to covid was humbled by the current variant - they were helpless to do anything about it despite going to extreme measures. There's a lesson in there for other countries - the virus wins, every single time - it is pointless fighting it because it is inevitable. 3 1
Popular Post WHansen Posted January 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2023 ukrules-I think slowing it down is pretty much the aim, so as not to overload the hospitals as we saw in the past. 2 2
Cake Monster Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Of course the entry rules fall way shorter than many other Countries. Thailand has been / is , so desperate to seen the Chinese arrive back that they are virtually free to walk right in. However, a façade of " doing the right thing " has to be seen across the Globe to prevent other Nations placing restrictions upon Thai Tourism once the Chinese have alighted their modes of Transport within the Country. Will it be enough ? Time will tell on that one 1
Popular Post Mavideol Posted January 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2023 Chinese are stubborn people, they know better then anybody else..... they have a non performing vaccine and yet still decline help with western made vaccines, to solve the ragging infections, from many different countries, EU offered FREE vaccines and they declined European Union offers China free COVID vaccines as cases surge Asked whether Beijing would accept the EU offer, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning sidestepped a direct reply, telling Reuters that China's vaccination rate and treatment capacity continued to rise and its supplies were "adequate". https://www.foxnews.com/health/european-union-offers-china-free-covid-vaccines-cases-surge 1 1 1

Popular Post Elkski Posted January 6, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 6, 2023 I could envision countries placing restrictions on travelers from Thailand if the expected Chinese cause a new flurry of cases in Thailand. Jingthing Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 The two jabs for Chinese is very silly as they refused to use DECENT vaccines! There should be stricter rules for Chinese and Thailand by not doing that is going to put Thailand on high risk lists internationally. Brilliant!
