BREAKING NEWS Gunman Kills Five at Or Tor Kor Market Before Taking Own Life
That is absolutely correct. I feel infinitely safer here than I do in most major American cities. The homicide rate here is high, but 99.9% of the violence here is Thai in Thai, it's unfortunate but it doesn't affect us. The fact of the matter is Thailand remains very safe as long as we keep our noses clean, and these mass shootings seem to happen about once a year. In the US (the mass shooting capital of the world), they happen a few times a week. This just sounds like it was perpetrated by a nutter, who was harboring a grudge and never bothered to look within for the source of the problem. When crimes like this take place, where there are multiple witnesses, the death penalty should be applied and it should be carried out within 30 days without possibility of appeal. In an ideal world. -

Economy Thailand Rejects 0% Tax Deal with US, Cites Risk to Local Farmers
The US stood here for "US taxpayer" - interesting! Maybe that changes now and the subsidy comes from Thailand, their export to the US tax supports US export - among others also to Thailand. How nice to know! -

Thai - Cambodia Conflict Temple, Territory, Tensions: The Roots of the Thailand-Cambodia Border Fight
Indeed, the root is Latin and the German word "Plazet" roots in the group of Indo-European languages which forms the basic of approx. 3 billion people's languages from India all the way across to Europe. Colonialism expanded that further so the Latin word is the root for the same word/meaning in many European languages, like French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German - among others.
