Why Are Thaivisa Spamming Me?

I have been reading Thaivisa for many months now and I joined finaly last week to ask a question which in the end I didn't need to ask as the subject was answered just before I joined.

I am a member of many forums and some I just read and some I post on, when I join a forum I check the box not to get emails from members and NOT to get emails from admin, this I have done with every forum I have been a member of regardless of the subject matter of the forum.

So Mr Admin of this forum, can you please explain to me and any others that receive similar spam from you why you feel that it is okay to override a members choice on whether he/she receives emails from you or not?

Also I would be interested in the legality of overriding a members choice on not to receive emails from you, also should I be expecting you to sell my email on to other spammers?

So after joining and ticking the box not to receive emails I am expected to do it again after reading 100 lines of links on spam that has been sent to me, I might add that the links do not even work from about halfway down the email, including the one I have just found about not receiving emails from Thaivisa which is right at the bottom.
