crazykopite Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Great news we don’t need people like this guy in Thailand it ruins the reputation of those of us who come to live a peaceful retirement in the Kingdom lock him up and throw the key away 1

Who said that his passport wasn't checked at the place where he was staying? The police knew that he was in Hua HIn.

I met some Brit bank robbers in CM. They only returned to the UK when they needed money. They were totally legit here, just spending money.

You're worried about some foreigner while the Thais around you murder their mothers and wives, and the Thai police run drugs, prostitutes, extortion and gambling. Not to mention the local drunk drivers mowing down women at bus stops and riding m/cs nearly every day. 1 3
Adumbration Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 This guy looks relaxed, fit and well for his age. Especially given his disability and the fact he is an alleged International criminal on the run. He stands as an quintessential example that Thailand is a great desitination for middle aged men. I wish him well in the pending appeal against his charges. I wonder how the proceeds from the sale of his car and other assets will be distributed among the RTP? 1

Ken1953 Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 He would be ok if he stayed in Pattaya, the offender who scammed me for Bhat 7 million payed the original Pattaya Bhat 200,000, the complaint file just disappeared, such magic, nothing as it the file and you would not believe the cop was transferred disappeared. Finally an arrest warrant was issued 2 years later for the offender, then the station chief refused to sign the arrest warrant. I offered to asked the DSI to help, i was told to leave Thailand. The matter still not in the court AMAZING , Just wounder how they caught hoppy.

Don't forget to mention corrupt immigration officers and payment under the table visa options. I was chatting with Richard several months back at a friend's birthday party in Bangkok. He was adamant that it was the food and temples that persuaded him to chose Thailand as his preferred hideout location. 1 1
Adumbration Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 So the NCA and the RTP are taking all the credit and posing for the photo shoots. But it would appear it was not their efforts that tracked Richard down. The reality is that he was just ratted on by some member of the public: “We have been supported by the public, who responded to the media and Crimewatch appeals to provide intelligence, all of which has ultimately led to his capture.”
