They met up at Bangkok Siriroj Hospital. Speaking through a French interpreter William Saint, 27, said that he had been out for a stroll on the beach in the area of Patong Condotel when five men roughed him up and took his Rolex and 50,000 baht in cash. Following the robbery he ran to Beach Road where he saw a taxi and a foot patrol of police. The police refused to help him, he claimed. He went to the Bodrum Phuket Patong clinic where they recommended he attend a hospital . Picture: 77kaoded He returned to his room in Kata and next morning went to Bangkok Siriroj where no one who could help him was on duty. He went back to the hospital yesterday. Doctors at the hospital said that he had a nose injury and had decided to sort it out in his homeland. They said he hadn't wanted to make a case against the police but had wondered why the patrol refused to help him. The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that Mr. William Lamarche-Saint-Louis, Canadian national, told them that he was attacked by five men on Friday (February 10th) near Patong Beach.
