The wife of a friend in the US has Alzheimer's disease though only in her early 60s.  He is exploring care options outside the USA.

He was told that there were some good Alzheimer's care centers in Chang Mai.

Does anybody have any knowledge of such care centers in CM?   Anywhere else in Thailand?

several topics below within the last few weeks.

If he is moving with her, he can take care of her for sometimes.

Local carers for a few hundred thb per day (when needed) or live in for 10-15k plus all expenses.

There are some experimental medicines coming in the west/usa, but not likely in thailand for many years.

There are a couple of ways to go about this in Chiang Mai depending on the budget. All much less expensive than what it might cost in USA... There is a range of price. And in home care works too. Vivo Bene in Doi Saket is first rate. There are others as well as Mckean.

Mission Hospital in Phuket took good care, for several years, until he passsed, of our American neighbour after he had been savagely attacked in his rental home, in Kamala. small village = case went unsolved.
